A Bridgerton inspired tale of love

Jan 10, 2023

Changeling Theatre is staging Love’s Labour’s Lost across Kent for our annual outdoor tour in 2023. Shakespeare’s play about young love is one of his early comedies and is widely believed to be the prequel to Much Ado about Nothing.

The play focuses on a King and three friends who take an oath dedicating themselves to a life of study, avoiding the company of women for three years. No sooner have they made their vow, the Princess of France and her ladies-in-waiting arrive, presenting the men with a severe test of their high-minded resolve.

With luscious costumes, original music and set in some of Kent’s finest venues, fans of Netflix’s Bridgerton will find much to enjoy in our witty and stylish adaptation.

2023 marks Changeling’s 22nd year of outdoor touring since we first toured Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream back in 2001. This summer we are touring a comedy double bill for the first time – Love’s Labour’s Lost alongside Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s comic masterpiece The School for Scandal.

Play venues, dates and booking details for both shows will be released in March
