Boughton Monchelsea Place,
Church Hill, Maidstone

Part of our Summer Tour 2023

Boughton Monchelsea Place

Boughton Monchelsea Place is our premier venue.  Our first production of A Midsummer Nights Dream in 1992, then Tartuffe in 1997 and every year since 2001, we have begun and ended our tours here.  Owned by the wonderful Marice and Dominic Kendrick, to perform here is a pleasure and we like to think of it as our home

Boughton Monchelsea Place is an Elizabethan stone-built manor house. It stands in its own estate of 165 acres which includes walled gardens, a private deer park with lake, and woodland.

The house is reached by a gravelled 1km drive which winds through private woodland before sweeping round to the house. From the long formal lawn in front of the house, there are glorious views down over the deer park and many miles of unspoilt Kent countryside.

Once again we are honoured to be supported by the Rotary Club of Maidstone who are raising money here as well as providing all our Front of House support.
